Quakers and Cheese Have Their First Outting



Today was the first time the ducks have been let out of their pen. They enjoyed the grass and other green treats. Like good ducks, they marched right back into their pen as the sun began to set, so we know they will be safe from predators. Hard to imagine they were just hatched on March 22 of this year.

Even though I see the wild geese around here and know that they grow up quickly, I'm remembering the photos from the ducks as very new ducklings and am amazed at how they've grown...

Awww. they are so cute. I just got baby ducks (and heritage turkeys) from the hatchery in the mail yesterday. They are so sweeet! I have 4 white ones that will undoubtedly look like yours and then 5 colored ones that will be something different..not sure yet. The turkeys are midget whites. So fun. They DO grow fast. I hadn't got any ducks since we moved here to Utah 9 years ago..I have missed them.
