Oranges and Cloves

Love this time of the year, preparing for the holiday season. Creating things that fill the house with good smells and create traditions.

This is something I have done since I was a little girl, helping my mother and grandmother poke cloves into oranges and lemons, it was always well worth the work.

My mother would set a big old wooden bread bowl on the radiator in the hallway and fill it with these wondrous balls of spicy holiday scent.
