A Perfect Day

Music playing on the stereo, coffee in my beaker, a yummy blend I got at Whole Foods called Celebration Cafe by Allegro Coffee . A spoonful of chocolate agave nectar and some milk and wow ! Getting lots of work done today, since this will be a very busy week for us. Amniocentesis for Melanie tomorrow to check on the development of Yens lungs. Wednesday Mei-Ling sees her cardiologist and Thursday we become grandparents once again, our first grandson !

I have been knitting up a storm and doing some extra cooking so that there will be meals in the freezer for when Melanie comes home from the hospital. Did laundry this morning and Emery was so sweet and hung some of it up for me while I did other chores. He just did it on his own accord, he is that kind of man. Sees the needs around him and just goes to work. We are expecting exceptionally cold weather this week so right now Emery is chopping wood so that we have plenty on hand for these cold nights coming up. Its been a very cold winter so far and there doesn't seem to be any warming trends in sight. The garden still is growing though. Several heads of cabbage are ready to be picked and we are enjoying broccoli a couple times a week.

I love Sundays, Emery is home all day and we get to steal kisses from one another through out the day as we go about our chores. Its a good way to spend any day.

The elusive big cat has not been trapped, despite our continued finds of tracks along the creek bed that runs along our property. Licorice is doing o.k. but still uncertain if she will loose her ear. The cat just about bit it completely off. We doctor her daily and keep hoping we can save it for her. It doesn't seem like there was any permanent damage to her eye which is such good news.

Life is good and every day just seems to get better. I am living my dream life and not taking a minute of it for granted.
