The Perfect Big Sister

Mei-Ling has been so tender and sweet with her new brother and has not shown any jealousy, but of course right now Casi is home so there is always someone there to give each child all the attention they need, still...Mei-Ling seems to be feeling secure in her position in the family and happy as always and more than glad to show anyone who comes to visit, her new brother "Yem" as she calls him.
Today she is spending some time with Grammie while mommy and daddy take baby to have a check up. We are making cupcakes, with her favorite pink frosting on them. What fun for both of us !
Here she is listening to bird songs on my iPhone and writing herself a note ~

Yentafo is a Thai sauce that is used in soup. The babies grandfather had a Thai restaurant and somehow thought Yentafo was a good name for his son. The baby will be called Yen since that sounds nice and is still part of his fathers name. The babies grandfather is half Chinese half Thai

I think Mei-Ling has a very special grandma, and that the jealousy issue may never appear because she is secure...whether it be with mom and dad or grandma and grandpa. You are blessed to have them geographically close to you!
